1. Data Collection

We collect the minimum data necessary to provide our educational service. This includes:

Account details (username, email address, password hash).
Your optional mailing-list preference and the time you opted in.
Usage logs (which problems you viewed and which Owner’s Guidebook solutions you accessed) to track your subscription limits.
Payment information is handled directly by Stripe. We do not store your credit card details on our servers.

2. AI Providers

If you use the step-by-step Owner’s Guidebook solution feature, the problem text and your request may be processed by third-party service providers. We do not send your personally identifiable information (such as your email or name) to these providers.

3. Hosting & Analytics

Our platform is hosted on Replit. We use privacy-conscious first-party analytics to understand how the site is used, including page journeys, engagement time, scroll depth, referral domain, device class, and actions such as plan selections or checkout starts.

Analytics records use random anonymous visitor and visit identifiers. We do not include names, email addresses, account identifiers, payment identifiers, IP addresses, query strings, form values, or problem text in analytics events, and we do not use the data for advertising or cross-site tracking.

4. Optional Email Updates

If you check the optional email-updates box while creating your account, MechForge may periodically send learning updates, new problem-solving videos, and website news to your verified account email. This choice is not required to create an account or access problem sets. You can unsubscribe from any marketing email.

5. Retention & Deletion

Anonymous analytics events are retained for up to 180 days. You have the right to request access to or deletion of your personal data. To delete your account and associated data, please contact us at mechforgewebsite@gmail.com.

6. Cookies & Sessions

We use essential cookies to maintain your login session. First-party analytics uses browser storage for random anonymous visitor and visit identifiers; it does not use third-party tracking or advertising cookies. Please refer to our Cookie Policy for details.

7. Mandatory Rights

Nothing in this policy excludes any mandatory privacy rights you hold under the laws of Alberta, Canada, or your local jurisdiction.
