Beam & Truss Analyzer
The four classic simply-supported cases — reactions, maximum moment, maximum deflection — with the loading drawn and the deflected shape computed by numerical double integration as an independent cross-check of the closed-form result. Plus axial deformation and the truss determinacy test. Covers §12.0.
Simply Supported Beam
Deflected shape by numerical double integration of M/EI (exaggerated scale). FIG. E11-2
Axial Deformation: δ = FL₀/(AE)
Truss Determinacy: 2J = M + R
Every beam table entry is just ΣF = 0, ΣM = 0, then two integrations of M/EI. The analyzer does both: the closed-form answer and the raw double integration — when they agree to five digits, you know neither has a typo.
