Triangle Solvers
Right triangles from any two knowns; general triangles by SSS, SAS, ASA, AAS, and the ambiguous SSA case. Covers §4.3–4.4 of the trigonometry material.
Right Triangle Solver
Sides a, b (legs), c (hypotenuse); angles A (opposite a) and B (opposite b), in degrees. Enter any two values including at least one side — the rest are solved.
Right angle at C. Side a is opposite angle A; b opposite B; c is the hypotenuse.

General Triangle Solver
Sides a, b, c opposite angles A, B, C (degrees). Fill exactly three values matching the case you select. SSA reports both triangles when the ambiguous case produces two.
Solved triangle drawn to scale. FIG. T17-1
Law of sines: a/sin A = b/sin B = c/sin C. Law of cosines: c² = a² + b² − 2ab cos C. Heron's area: √[s(s−a)(s−b)(s−c)], s = (a+b+c)/2.
